Radians’ Dance course offers students the opportunity to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of dance as an art form. Students learn and refine dance skills and techniques in class. It emphasizes basic dance techniques, and introduces Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Broadway styles of dance. It also involves body toning exercises, physical fitness, cardiovascular endurance, and strength, memorization, and flexibility. Students learn short dance routines.
In the middle school grades, students are introduced to the structure of a dance class, Zumba, and ballroom/social dances. Classes at this level focus on introductory/beginner level. Basic dance vocabulary, performance skills, choreography, improvisation, and performance appreciation skills are introduced.
